The Peacock
The Peacock kilim is a 1920s design created by Pavlo Kovzhun, a Ukrainian modernist artist who, together with Mykhailo Semenko, founded the Quaero-Futurism art circle, in Kyiv, in 1913 and who devoted himself to promoting new and revolutionary artistic ideas. Professor Zenovia Shulha, who is also the author of the modern edition's pattern card, deposited a copy of this fabric in the Museum of Weaving in Hlynyany, in Ukraine. The Peacock will present itself equally astonishing hung vertically or horizontally. The kilim is made to order.
